Focused on Wharton
Photographer Will Van Overbeek, left, aims his camera at Paul Shannon, the county's maintenance supervisor, as he winds the hands of the clock in the Wharton County Courthouse. Overbeek, a freelance photographer from Austin, was in Wharton recently shooting locations and local celebrities for an upcoming article in Texas Highways. Sites visited included the depot, the 20th Century Technology Museum and the courthouse. The article is expected to be published later this Spring.
