Lady Tigers still own 24-3A lead

      Wharton's girls basketball team kept it's District 24-3A lead after beating Columbus 63-48 Tuesday night in Tiger Gymnasium. The Lady Tigers improved to 9-1 and played at Columbia, 7-3, Friday night. "It was a very big win but wasn't easy," said Wharton coach Laura Guidry.

      BOLING - A fourth quarter rally by Boling's boys basketball team fell short as Yes College Prep held on for a 72-64 win in The Doghouse Tuesday night. "The kids played hard once again but still fell short," said Boling coach Kevin Majewski.

      COLUMBUS - Wharton's boys basketball team held on for a 47-46 win over Columbus in Tuesday's District 24-3A game in Cardinal Gymnasium. Wharton jumped out to a 12-6 lead after the first quarter and went up 34- 13 at halftime.

      VAN VLECK - East Bernard's boys basketball team slipped to 2-6 in District 27-2A play after dropping a 82-46 decision to Van Vleck Tuesday night in Leopard Gymnasium. The second place Leopards improved to 7-1 and played at Boling, 1-7, last night.
