Mary Williams

Funeral services for Mary Lee Williams, 89, of Wharton, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, at Mother Zion Baptist Church with Rev. C.I. Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Wharton City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Williams was born July 17, 1918 in Wharton the sixth and youngest of Nap Moses and Narsis Golden Moses. She went home to eternal rest on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Erma Jean Harris of Wharton, Rosie Craven of Missouri City and Roberta Boudreaux of Stafford; two sons, Jessie Williams of Wharton and Melvin Williams of Houston. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are under the direction of Gooden-Hatton Funeral Home.
