Linda Salinger Graveside services for Linda Salinger, 67, of San Antonio, were held Friday at the Shearith Israel Cemetery in Wharton with Rabbi Brian Strauss offi- ciating. Ms. Salinger died Jan. 15, 2008 at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born March 3, 1940 in Corpus Christi, the daughter of Harold Salinger and Vivian Franklin Salinger. She was a resident of San Antonio for the past 30 years and was a former resident of Yoakum. Ms. Salinger was a graduate of the University of Texas and was a school teacher at Robert G. Cole High School at Fort Sam Houston until her retirement. She was a member of Congregation Beth Yeshurun in Houston. Ms. Salinger was a former treasurer for the A.T.P.E. and had served as president of the A.T.P.E. Region 20 for the past 20 years. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her mother, Vivian Franklin Salinger of Wharton; sister, Ann Sherman of Wharton; and a brother, Maury Salinger of Wharton.
