Annual seafood fundraiser Jan. 26

The Deutschburg Community Club will host its 55th annual Seafood Lunch and Dinner Benefit on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Deutschburg Community Center FM 1862 northwest of Palacios.

The price is $8 per plate. The menu consists of shrimp, oysters, and catfish served with cheesy rice, beans, pickles, onions, coffee, tea and dessert.

Use the "made-to-order" togo window or dine-in and get a chance to bid on one of the area's most delicious baked items at the Cake Auction held around 12:30 p.m. and again around 4:30 p.m.

The proceeds from this event benefit local senior citizens centers, food pantries, volunteer fire departments, scholarships and various other charitable organizations.
