Some tickets remain for tonight's Plaza show There are a few Bruce Robison show tickets still left for tonight. Call the Plaza Theatre Box Office at 282-2970, or visit whartonplazatheatre.org and click on the Plaza Live to get a ticket. If one can't make the Bruce Robison show, then purchase tickets for Stephanie Briggs show at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb 29. For more info on Briggs, visit stephaniebriggs.com or myspace.com/StephanieBriggs. Robison, a Texas music superstar will be on the Plaza stage this Saturday as it kicks off a new Plaza Live concert series. He played here with his brother Charlie four years ago. This weekend he'll be singing new songs as well as old and those made famous by George Strait, Lee Ann Womack, the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. He will be assisted by bass player George Reiff and drummer Pat Manske. The show starts at 8 p.m. The concession stand will be selling all the traditional movie theater goodies at vintage prices as well as a variety of adult beverages. Tickets are $20. February's Plaza Live artist, Stephanie Briggs, graduated from El Campo High School in 2000. She'll be backed by her husband Matt, who hails from Boling, on drums and vocals. The two local youngsters who are making a splash on the Texas music scene. The Briggs are currently working on their second album and touring. Their tour brings them to the Plaza on Leap Year Day, Feb. 29. The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets, which are $10, are already on sale. |
