Silvas, Haltom reveal their wedding plans

Shannon and Bo will say their wedding vows on May 31 in Wallis.

George and Stacey Silvas of Wharton announce the engagement of their daughter Shannon Sue Silvas of Wharton to Bo Haltom of East Bernard, son of Mike and Deborah Haltom of East Bernard.

Shannon is the granddaughter of Mamie Silvas of Boling and Lenora Mallouf of Wharton. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Doyle and Alene Mullies of Jacksonville.

Bo is the grandson of Celeste Haltom of Cypress and Vernon and Marie Parsons of Hockley.

The couple will exchange their vows at 2 p.m. Satuday, May 31, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis.

Shannon is a 2003 graduate of Boling High School and will graduate in May from the University of Texas-Tyler College of Nursing. She is a member of the Student Nurses Association.

Bo is a 2001 graduate of Brazos High School in Wallis. He is employed as a heavy equipment operator for Precinct 2 and as a part-time licensed saltwater fishing guide in Port O'Connor.
