All dolled up
Sherrell Speer, second from right, maintains his pleasant countenance as Pilot Club of Wharton member Jeanie Merka places a feathered boa around his neck in honor of the musical Hello Dolly. Two tickets to the Theater Under The Stars' performance have been donated by Merka as one of the live auction items for the Pilot Club's annual chili supper fundraiser, which will be from 5 to 7 p.m. this coming Wednesday at the KC Hall. Other auction items include a Selkirk Island Weekend trip, sponsored by Izzy and Kathy Smolik and For All Seasons florist Doug Smolik (pictured holding a fishing rod at far right); and a creole shrimp and sausage dinner for eight prepared and served by Caroline Osborne, who is pictured at the far left.
