Ivery Fisher

Funeral services for Ivery Fisher Jr., 63, of Wharton, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. J. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in New Mount Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Fisher died Jan. 14, 2008, at Wharton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Feb. 23, 1944, in Wharton to Ivery and Ida Phillips Fisher Sr.

Survivors include mother, Ida Phillips Fisher of Wharton; daughters, Avery Fisher and Avis Fisher, both of Houston; brothers, William Fisher, Roy Fisher and Michael Fisher, all of Wharton; sisters, Ida Carter of Houston, Maxine Fisher, Gail Maxneill and Debra Brown, all of Wharton; and one grandchild.
