Team lift
Wharton County Junior College Police Academy cadets Chris Kruppa, left, and Hans Stelzel, far right, lift classmate Cuylar Pawlak from the ground during rescue drills at the Wharton campus. Under the careful scrutiny of academy instructor Terry Lynch, members of PA 67 did several series of the drill on Monday. Lynch said the drill simulates the quick removal of an injured officer out of the line of fire. It further boosts the physical endurance of the cadets. The current class began on Jan. 7.
