Brandon Gardner, 26, 906 E. Hillje, El Campo, was booked into Wharton County Jail at 3:41 a.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana, unlawfully carrying a weapon and tampering/fabricating evidence. He was held as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Derrick D. Bowsier, 22, 412 S. Sheppard, Wharton, was booked at 8:32 p.m. Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance, open container, failure to appear, no drivers license and failure to maintain financial responsibility. He was held as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Mario Valentino Soto, 24, 606 E. Murray, Victoria, was booked at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday for driving while intoxicated with a child in the car. He was held on $5,000 bond as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Burglary, theft charges

Leroy J. Smith, 43, 2733 Robertson, New Orleans, La., was booked at 12:35 p.m. Thursday on a state hold for unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was held without bond as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Patrick Murray, 37, 811 Marionette, El Campo, was booked at 10:55 a.m. Thursday for parole violation. He was held as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Jeremy D. Abbott, 19, 1918 CR 112, Van Vleck, was booked at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and failure to identify. He was released to Austin State Hospital at 12:15 a.m. Thursday.

Leonardo Flores, 35, 703 Lenert, Lane City, was booked at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday for failure to appear and speeding in a school zone. He was held as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Ebony M. Allison, 29, 3104 Vine, Victoria, was booked at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday for probation violation, bench warrant, theft by check and Texas Department of Corrections hold. She was held as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Marcus Lynell Earls, 18, 1111 Merchant, El Campo, was booked at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday for bond forfeiture. He was held as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

David Flores, 31, 9445 FM 102, Glen Flora, was booked at noon Wednesday for probation violation. He was held as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Robbie M. Martinez, 40, 3504 Brook, Bay City, was booked at 10:40 a.m. Thursday for probation violation. He was held for Matagorda County Sheriff's Department as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Leslie Goodman, 29, 7606 Memorial, Hitchcock, was booked at 10:40 a.m. Thursday for probation violation. She was held for Matagorda County as of 1 p.m. Thursday.

Jail population as of 1 p.m. Thursday was 99 prisoners.
