Public records of persons booked into the Wharton County Jail
      Alcohol, drug charges Juan Americo Lerma, 28, of Houston, was booked into Wharton County Jail at 6:43 p.m. Tuesday for possession of marijuana. He was released at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday on $2,500 bond. Lester Vernal Fowler, 46, 2200 Allen Rd., Wharton, was booked at 4:06 a.m.
