Mildred Petrash

Mildred Coufal Petrash of El Campo died Jan. 4, 2008 at the age of 85. She was born on March 17, 1922 in Moulton to the late Joe and Anna Walshitt Coufal.

She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

Mrs. Petrash is survived by her sons, Donald Petrash of Highland, David Petrash of Katy and Garry Petras and wife Wanda of Hillje; daughter, Sandy Shoemaker and husband Walter of McKinny; brother, Joseph Coufal of Mathis; sisters, Vlasta Jurica of Brenham, Millie Jurica of Sealy and Della Cunningham of Houston; 12 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Julius Petrash; son, Julius Petrash Jr.; brother, Edwin Coufal; sisters, Annie Marek and Marie Rhoden.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Triska Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Assumption Catholic Church in Ganado with Rev. Michael Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.
