Lillian Szymanski

Lillian Frances Szymanski, 82, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007 at the Czech Catholic Home for the Aged in Hillje. Her husband of 66 years, Joe, was at her side.

Mrs. Szymanski was born on April 25, 1925 in Floresville, but spent most of her life in the Wallis-Orchard-East Bernard area. She was a member of the KJZT, Catholic Daughters and the Blue Army.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Szymanski; son, Jodie Szymanski; daughter, Gloria Demny with her husband Don Demny; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

A wake service will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard today, Saturday, Dec. 29, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be on Sunday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Mausoleum in East Bernard. Both will be officiated by Reverend Don Ruppert.

The pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeff and Jonathon Szymanski; brother-in-law, John Szymanski; grandsonsin law, Bobby Rollert, Joe Ellis, Jeremy LeJeune; and cousins, Bobby Divin and Leo Divin.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Albert Szymanski, Steve Hudgins, James Housson, Edwin Janik, Victor Divin and John Norville.

Lectors at the Mass will be granddaughters, Amanda Rollert, Jennifer Housson and Donna LeJeune. Altar servers will be great-grandsons, Michael and Gabriel Rollert. The 19 great-grandchildren will present offertory gifts and flowers. Grandchildren John and Julie Dujka and Tamara Ellis will do music and singing.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis- Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B. F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg.
