Frankie Stracik

Frankie Dujka Stracik, 91 years old, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007. She will be sorely missed by her family.

Mrs. Stracik was born on Sept. 27, 1916, to the late Paul and Rosalie Dujka in Fort Bend County. She was reared in Fort Bend County and married Gus V. Stracik in 1940. Together they made their home in Angleton for 46 years. She was a loving, dedicated and supportive wife, mother and sister. Upon the death of Mr. Stracik in 1986, she moved to Wharton, visiting with and enjoying her large extended family until her death. Mrs. Stracik passed away peacefully in Wharton at the loving home of her son Glenn, and her daughter-in-law Carolyn. She suffered from Alzheimer's Disease for several years before her death.

Mrs. Stracik is also survived by her daughter, Marilyn Evans of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren Jay and Lauren of California; and five great-grandchildren, also of California; two sisters, Mildred Cotharn and Joyce Otto; three brothers, Jerry Dujka, William Dujka and Julius Dujka; and several nieces and nephews, including Nancy Chapman of Wharton.

The family will hold a private service after the first of the year.
