WISD calendar highlights

Here's what's coming up on the campuses of the Wharton Independent School District in January.

Jan. 3: Wharton Junior High School - Report cards issued for third six weeks.

Sivells Elementary School - Report cards go home for third six weeks.

Jan. 4: WJHS - Awards Assembly.

Hopper Elementary School - Report Cards go out.

Jan. 9: Hopper - McDonald's Perfect Attendance trip.

Jan. 10: Wharton High School - Senior panoramic photos at 9:40 a.m.

Sivells - Third grade Math Night.

Jan. 11: Sivells - Perfect Attendance and Honor Roll Awards for first semester. Second Grade at 8:15 a.m.; Third Grade at 10:05 a.m.; and First Grade at 1:30 p.m.

Sivells - Group photos taken. Uniforms are required.

Jan. 11 and 12: WHS - Speech tournament.

Jan. 23 to 31: Rodeo Art on display at the Education Support Center for public viewing.

Jan. 24: Sivells - PTA meeting. Social at 5:30 p.m. and meeting starts at 6 p.m.

Jan. 25 and 26: Hopper - Class Pictures.

Jan. 26: WHS - Cheerleader tryouts.

Jan. 31: WJHS - Progress Reports issued to students.

Sivells - Family Fun Night.

Feb. I: WHS - Senior Serve Talent Show at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.

Feb. 2: WHS - Senior Serve at Wharton Community Civic Center.
