Jessie Compian Jessie Martin Compian Sr., age 50, of Lane City, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 in a Wharton hospital following a sudden illness. He was born on Aug. 6, 1957 in Wharton the son of Manuel Compian Sr. and Janie Sedillo Compian. Mr. Compian was a lifelong resident of Wharton and was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Wharton. He worked as a carpenter and pipe fitter. He married Melania Ferrel on Dec. 3, 1979 in Wharton. He was preceded in death by his father. He enjoyed fishing and all sports. A rosary was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 at the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with Rev. Augustin Nsiah Asante officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Survivors include his wife, Melania Compian of Lane City; daughters, Rachel Irene Chavez of Lexington Park, Md., and Cecilia Janie Compian of Lane City; sons, Jessie Martin Compian Jr. and Carlos Compian, both of Lane City; mother, Janie Compian of Wharton; brothers, Manuel Compian Jr. and Larry Compian, both of Wharton; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home. |
