      Wharton's boys basketball team lost three games in the Outback Classic which was completed on Saturday. The Tigers lost to Clements 48-36 on Thursday, lost to Lamar Consolidated 83-40 on Friday and Scarborough 40- 28 later in the day.

      WEST COLUMBIA - Wharton's two 8th grade boys basketball teams lost to Columbia on Monday afternoon. The Red Team dropped a 34- 20 decision to Columbia to fall to 1-3 in district and to 1-5 on the season. Wharton jumped out to a 867 lead after the first quarter but fell behind 18-12 at halftime.

      IAGO - Iago's 8th grade boys baskeball team beat Yes Northeast 36-22 Monday afternoon to improve to 3-1 on the season. Iago jumped out to a 6-5 lead after the first quarter and went up 14-12 at halftime. The Bullpups added 12 points in the the third and fourth quarter to pull away.
