Mary Hughes

Mary Lou Hughes, 77, of Wharton, died Dec. 9, 2007, at her residence. In lieu of funeral services, Mrs. Hughes had made the decision to donate her body to science.

Mrs. Hughes was a retired secretary who had worked for Mr. and Mrs. Laurance Armour Jr.

Survivors include daughters, Velda Vonderau of the Pierce Ranch, Lynn Hughes of Buchanan Dam, Lou Edsall of Arvada, Colo., and Leigh Freudensprung of Wharton; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
