Mary Patterson

Mary Jane Patterson, age 83, of Wharton died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born on Dec. 6, 1924 in Lemon, S.D., the daughter of the late Frank Plocek and Josie Prochaska Plocek.

Mrs. Patterson had been a resident of Wharton since 1945 and was a charter member of Peace Tabernacle Church in Wharton.

She was employed for 51 years with New First National Bank as an assistant vice-president. She retired in September of 2007. Mrs. Patterson was also preceded in death by four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at the Peace Tabernacle Church in Wharton with Rev. Charles Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Patterson of Victoria; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Lezlee Patterson of Victoria, Mike and Marsolett Patterson and Douglas and Rose Ann Patterson, all of Wharton; brothers, Clarence Plocek of North Dakota and Charlie Plocek of South Dakota; 13 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Thomas Patterson, Teman Patterson, Bernard Orsak, Jared Patterson, Tred Patterson and Ricky Boatwright.

Honorary Pallbearers are all employees of New First National Bank.

In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests memorials to Peace Tabernacle Church, P.O. Box 948, Wharton, TX 77488.
