8th grade Brahma teams split games with Danbury

East Bernard's two 8th grade boys basketball teams played Danbury Monday afternoon in The Barn.

The A Team won 24-18.

The score was tied at 4-4 after the first quarter but East Bernard went up 14-10 at halftime.

Danbury battled back to make it a 18-17 game after the third quarter but the Brahmas widened the game in fourth quarter to win by six.

Quinton Farris led the Brahmas with 11 points. Derek Rivera finished with nine and Jessie Lopez and Eric Pribyl scored two each.

Andrew Boettcher, Drew Vincek, Brad Brummer, Gabriel Osuna and Trevor Ramsey were defensive standouts.

The B Team lost 16-10.

Blake Stelzel led the Brahmas with six points and Octavious Jimenez and Nathan Korenek had two each.
