Iago 7th, 8th grade basketball teams play Van Vleck

IAGO - Iago's 8th grade boys basketball team improved to 2-1 on the season after beating Van Vleck 42-31 Monday afternoon.

Both teams scored eight points in the first quarter and Iago went up 21-17 at halftime.

The Bullpups outscored the Leopards 14-6 in the third quarter to go up 35-23 and 7-3 in the final eight minutes of the game.

Darian Lunford led the Bullpups with 21 points.

Bobby Llanas finished with 10.

Caleb Heson added five and Jacolby Hodge had four.

The 7th grade Bullpups remained winless after dropping a 47-8 decision to Van Vleck.

Trevor Grissom and Jarad Hubenak scored three points each and Rene Rodriguez added two.
