7th grade Brahmas claim district win over Iago

IAGO - East Bernard's 7th grade boys basketball team evened it's district record to 1- 1 after beating Iago 43-11 last Thursday afternoon.

With the loss, Iago slipped to 0-2.

EB jumped out to a 15-4 lead after the first quarter and went up 23-6 at halftime.

The Brahmas outscored the Bullpups 10-3 in the third quarter to go up 33-9 and 10 to 2 in the fourth quarter.

Ty Slanina poured in 31 points for the Brahmas. Vic Petti finished with 10 and Maril Belman and Dylan Marek scored 2 each.

Ethan Russell and Darr were defensive standouts.

Zach Hession led the Bullpup with 5 points.

Trevor Grissom finished with 4 and Nick Abbott added 2.
