7th grade Tiger teams drop district games to Sealy

SEALY - Wharton's two 7th grade basketball teams lost district games to Sealy on Monday afternoon.

The Blue Team lost 53-21 to slip to 0-3 on the season.

Blake Niemeier finished with six points. Bartee Grissom scored four and Dontea Dillard added three.

Alex Durgan, Claudio Rojas , Austin Cruz and Abraham Ventura scored two each.

The Red Team dropped a 26- 22 decision to fall to 1-2.

Phillip Johnson finished with six points. Jason Lemson added four.

Kurt Chumchal, Ryan Castellano, Darius Davis, Tyler Perkins, Charles Montalvo and Bryan Aguirre scored two each.

Tigers lose to Royal

Wharton's two 7th grade boys basketball teams dropped district games to Royal last Tuesday afternoon at the Wharton Junior High Gymansium.

The Blue Team lost 53-14 to slip to 0-2 on the season.

Alex Durgan and Bartee Grisson scored 4 points each.

CJ Roberts, Dontea Dillard, Claudio Rojas, Blake Niemier, Jamarcus Jordan and Abraham Ventura hit free throws.

The Red Team lost 22-11 to fall to 1-1 on the season.

Kurt Chumchal led the Tigers with 4 points. Bryan Aguiree added 2.

Malachi Feldt, Jason Lemon, Ryan Castellano, Troy Perkins and Charles Montalvo hit free throws.
