Bulldogs notch first win over Gary

NEEDVILLE - Boling's boys basketball team picked up it's first win of the season after beating Gary 49-35 Friday afternoon at the Leroy Miksch Invitational Tournament in Needville.

Boling jumped out to a 17-8 lead after the first quarter and went up 23-16 at halftime.

The Bulldogs outscored Gary 11-8 in the third quarter to go up 34-24 and 15-11 in the final eight minutes of the game.

Justin Hobbs led the Bulldogs with 16 points. Thomas Felder finished with 12.

Dennis Hemphill and B.W. McLeod scored six each. Sean Hollis added five and Kalin Ray scored four.

Boling plays Flatonia at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Sealy Invitational Tournament
