Music Majors' Recital
      Fulfilling one of the requirements of her performing arts major, Nora Rodriguez performs Villanelle by Hector Berlioz during the fall Music Majors' recital. Each music major is required to participate in one recital performance per semester as part of their curriculum.

City and county will combine efforts to improve accessibility in downtown

      Wharton's downtown sidewalks are one step closer to being easier to access for disabled residents. The Wharton City Council on Nov. 26 approved an interlocal agreement with Wharton County for a sidewalk improvement project.

Local shopping event a hit

      More than 2,000 shoppers marched through the El Campo Civic Center this weekend hunting unique holiday gifts for family and friends. The event was one of the better turnouts for the annual event, El Campo Chamber of Commerce President Becca Socha said Monday.
