Conference set Dec. 15, ACS event Sunday

A Twentieth Century District Minister and Deacon Wives Conference will meet at White Cloud Baptist Church in Eagle Lake at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15. The Ministers Conference will meet at this time, also. The guest speaker will be Rev.

H. Long, pastor of South Point Baptist Church in Eagle Lake. The theme is Grace, The Gift of God.

The East Wharton County Unit of the American Cancer Society will have its biannual Christmas Tour of Homes from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9. The homes to be toured are the Harlan and Nena Boettcher home in East Bernard; the

Home Edition home of John and Monica Kubena in East Bernard; and Don and Maryan Gertson in Lissie. After the tour there will be refreshments served at the Wharton County Historical Museum. Tickets for this event are $10 each and the public is invited.

The Volunteers of GCMC will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, in Classrooms A and B. For more information, call Carol Wootten at 282-6090. The public is invited.
