The East Wharton County Unit of the American Cancer Society will have its biannual Christmas Tour of Homes from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9. The homes to be toured are the Harlan and Nena Boettcher home in East Bernard; the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition home of John and Monica Kubena in East Bernard; and Don and Maryan Gertson in Lissie. After the tour there will be refreshments served at the Wharton County Historical Museum. Tickets for this event are $10 each and the public is invited. The Volunteers of GCMC will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, in Classrooms A and B. For more information, call Carol Wootten at 282-6090. The public is invited. Pink National Alumni and Ex-Students Association will host its 19th annual Scholarship Holiday Banquet at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22. Donations are $20 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and under. Reservations need to be made by Dec. 10. After that date donations will be $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 years and under. Guest speaker will be Rev.
