EB girls suffer 30-22 loss EAST BERNARD - East Bernard's girls basketball team slipped to 1-3 on the season after dropping a 30-22 decision to Shiner St. Paul Tuesday night in Brahma Gymnasium. EB took a 5-4 lead after the first quarter but fell behind 14-7 at halftime. The Brahmarettes rallied back in the third quarter to make it 18-16 game but St. Paul doubled up East Bernard 12-6 in the final eight minutes of the game. Poor free throw shooting proved costly for the Brahmarettes who converted only six of 16. We played hard, we just have to get better offensively," said EB coach Ronnie Schmidt. Florence Wilson led East Bernard with 9 points. Roberta Pettit finished with 7. Haley Dawson had 3; Hillary Blazek and Bev Kresta had 2 each and Hillaire Blazek hit a free throw.
