Wharton boys, girls swim teams compete in quad meet ROSENBERG - Wharton's boys and girls swim teams competed in a quad meet with Lamar Consolidated, Terry and Foster Thursday afternoon at the LCISD Natatorium. In the boys point standings, Foster totaled up 110 points and Wharton had 40. Lamar Consolidated finished with 112 and Wharton had 46. Terry then totaled up 82 points and Wharton had 65. In the girls standings, Foster finished with 109 points and Wharton had 48. Lamar totaled up 90 points and Wharton finished with 6 points. Wharton then outscored Terry 73-56. In relay races, the Wharton girls 200-yard medley team of Shea Flynn, Blair Zahn, Kaleigh Kacal and Lizzie Roades finished third with a 2:11.66. The boys team of Matthew Zahn, Taylor Cline, Johnny Castro and Robert Lee finished sixth with a 1:59.60. The girls 200-yard freestyle relay team of Zahn, Flynn, Shaina Lowe and Kacal finished third with a 1:58.29. The boys team of Castro, Zahn, Cole Koonce and Lowe finished third with a 1:49.72. The girls 400-yard freestyle team of Billings, Megan Lesak, Roades and Kendall Watson finished fourth with a 4:27.04. The boys team of Lowe, Koonce, Cline and Lee finished fifth with a 4:25.83. In girls individual races, Roades finished fourth in the 200-yard freestyle with a 2:29.16. Watson was fifth with a 2:35.62. Lowe finished fourth in the boys division with a 2:22.10. Billings finished second in the girls 200-yard in the individual medley with a 2:38.26. Castro finished third in the boys race with a 2:29.30. Flynn finished sixth in the girls 50-yard freestyle with a 28.13. Koonce finished 13th in the boys race with a 31.79, Kacal finished second in the girls 100-yard butterfly with a 1:06.75. Castro finished fifth in the boys race wit ha 1:05.75. Lesak finished sixth in the girls 100-yard freestyle with a 1:06.64. Zahn finished seventh in the boys race with a 1:03.37. Cline finished third in the boys 500-yard freestyle with a 6:54.42. Billings finished third in the girls 100-yard backstroke with a 1:16.36 and Flynn was fourth with a 1:21.36. Tate Lowe finished fifth in the boys race with a 1:17.25, Zahn finished third in the girls 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:22.75 and Shaina Lowe was fourth with a 1:29.14. Lee finished fourth in the boys race with a 1:18.94 and Cline was eighth with a 1:23.34. Wharton competes in the Katy Invitational this morning and the Alief Invitational on Dec. 8. |
