Elenora Krause

Elenora Annie Mazel Krause, age 93, of Wharton, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 in Wharton. She was born on Aug. 20, 1914 in Fayetteville, daughter of the late Frank Mazel and Hildegard Cook Mazel.

Mrs. Krause moved to Wharton from Fayetteville at the age of seven. She attended both Fayette County and Lane City Schools. She married Carl Phillip Krause on Sept. 13, 1931 in Wharton. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1995. Mrs. Krause was a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking for her family, watching soap operas and playing bingo. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Holy Family Altar Society.

Funeral mass services will be held 9:30 a.m. today, Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Dominic Antwi-Boasiako offi- ciating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Rosary services were held Friday evening at Wharton Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughters, Irene Janicek of Hitchcock, Carline Kucera and husband, Herman of Wharton and Lillie Mae Kucera and husband, Herbert of Wharton; grandchildren, Pam Jones and husband, Thomas, Beverly Plowman, Stacy Kucera and Marvin Janicek Jr. and wife, Isabel; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews and numerous greatnieces and great-nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Krause was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Legler; and brothers, Sylvester and Milton Mazel.

Pallbearers are Marvin Janicek Jr., Ryan Jones, Blake Plowman, Thomas Jones, James Mazel and Charles Mazel.
