Connie Calhoun

Funeral services for Rev. Connie Vernon Calhoun, 56, of Houston, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Center Union Baptist Church with Faye Edwards as eulogist. Burial will follow in Bowden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday.

Rev. Calhoun died Nov. 26, 2007 at his residence. He was born Nov. 25, 1951, in Wharton to Denton and Annie Margaret Lowe Calhoun Sr.

Survivors include daughters, Tonja Mason of Sugar Land and Lydia Calhoun of Carson City, Calif.; brothers, Everett Calhoun of Herperia, Calif.; Denton Calhoun Jr. of Walnut, Calif., and William Calhoun of Simi Valley, Calif.; sisters, Thelma Allen of Nassau Bay, Barbara Woods of Asonia, Calif., Mary Carr of Woodbrook, Calif., Margaret Williams of Garden City, Calif., and minister Faye Edwards of Sugar Hill, Calif.
