Thanksgiving weather doesn't stop gatherings
Egypt- Glen Flora
Carol Russ

This past Thanksgiving Day was a beautiful and grateful chilly holiday where families and friends gathered to give God thanks for a blessed year.

Paula and Augustine Espinosa Sr. of Glen Flora went to their son's, Richard and wife Laura Espinosa, home in Boling to celebrate this holiday with the family. Other family members present were Rebecca and Robbie Gonzales and their children; Amanda Espinosa; Aaron Espinosa; other grandchildren; and friends.

The dinner consisted of baked turkey, smoked ham, many trimmings, pies and punch.

I took a trip to Houston for a week and to spend Thanksgiving with my uncle Andrew Simmons Sr. and his wife Hilda. I had a chance to see many of my cousins, too.

On Thanksgiving Day, the menu was fried turkey, smoked ham, a variety of side dishes, many desserts and punch. The weather was rainy, but I had a wonderful time seeing all my loved ones.
