Christopher Escamilla, 24, 77373 Cautergate, Spring, was booked into Wharton County Jail on Thursday for possession of a controlled substance and speeding. He was held on $5,500 bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Ivan Garcia-Lopez, 19, 174 Lakeview, El Campo, was booked on Thursday for driving while intoxicated. He was held on $1,500 bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Yonimir Santana-Ochoa, 23, of El Campo, was booked Thursday for driving while intoxicated, no drivers license and no insurance. He was held on $2,500 bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Jose Antonio Aguero, 34, 3950 Hollister No. 187-A, Houston, was booked at 1:37 a.m. Thursday for driving while intoxicated (third offense). He was released at 3:04 p.m. Thursday on $5,000 bond.

Jacob H. Nichols, 21, 4417 FM 1300, El Campo, was booked at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was released at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday on $11,500 bond.

Shawn Solis, 17, 410 Ash, El Campo, was booked at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was released at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday on $11,500 bond.

Kirk Nichols, 19, 4417 FM 1300, El Campo, was booked at 1:42 a.m. Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was released at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday on $11,500 bond.

Assault charges

Jessie Joe Aguilar, 24, 212 Burleson, Wharton, was booked Wednesday on a warrant for assault and two warrants for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was held as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Burglary, theft charges

Ray Sosa, 44, 1708 Lampley, El Campo, was booked Thursday for theft and probation violation. He was held on $76,500 bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Rebecca L. Sosa, 42, 608 E. West, El Campo, was booked on Thursday for theft. She was released Thursday on $1,500 bond.

Amanda Escobar, 19, 205 Schrimsher, Yoakum, was booked Thursday on a theft by check warrant. She was released at noon Thursday on $800 bond.

Joe Paul Rodriguez, 33, Route 1, Box 212/CR 474, El Campo, was booked Wednesday for burglary of a habitation, probation violation and a warrant for theft of firearm. He was held on $65,000 bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Jeremy Lee Estrada, 21, 615 W. Caney, Wharton, was booked at 3:53 a.m. Wednesday for burglary of a building, two counts of theft by check, possession of marijuana and public intoxication. He was released Thursday on $13,900 bond.

Charles Wrigley III, 34, 17 College, El Campo, was booked at 3:53 a.m. Wednesday for burglary of a building and public intoxication. He was held on $10,500 bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Jose Juaquin Rocha, 33, 400 Bluebonnet, El Campo, was booked at 3:53 a.m. Wednesday for burglary of a building and public intoxication. He was held on $10,500 bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Other charges

Brian Williams, 19, Route 2, Box 142-B, El Campo, was booked at 8 a.m. Friday for no driver's license, loud music, unsecured child and warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, speeding and no driver's license. He was held on $77,500 bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Michael V. Hernandez, 23, 291 Roland, Kyle, was booked at 3:29 p.m. Wednesday for interfering with the duties of a public servant. He was held without bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Humberto R. Mejorado, 45, Box 426, Danevang, was booked Wednesday on an indecency with a child warrant. He was held as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Aleshia Rachelle Dorsey, 39, 3314 Fairway Dr., Wharton, was booked at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday for resisting arrest, disregarding traffic control device and four warrants for issuing a bad check. She was released at 11:27 a.m. Wednesday on $4,500 bond.

Becky L. Edison, 28, 502 Brooks, Killeen, was booked at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday for bond forfeiture, failure to appear and a warrant for failure to pass safely. She was held on $1,500 bond as of 2 p.m. Friday.

Guadalupe Vasquez, 26, of Rosenberg, was booked at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday for two counts of capias pro fines. He was released at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday after paying $645 in fines.

Jail population as of 2 p.m. Friday was 110 prisoners.
