Marie Bertch

Private funeral services were held for Marie Elana Bertch, 57 of Wharton. Cremation followed.

Mrs. Bertch died Nov. 17, 2007 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born on Sept. 9, 1950 in Hillsboro, Wis., daughter of the late Edwin Hudnell and Helen Miller Hudnell.

She was reared in Ohio and attended school there.

Mrs. Bertch had been a resident of Wharton for the past 10 years. On April 25, 1998, she married David Bertch in Wharton.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-father, Vern Campbell; and a brother, Phil Hudnell.

Survivors include her husband, David Bertch of Wharton; daughter, Carolyn Williams and husband Daniel of Alvarado; sons; Bill Furbee and wife Lora of Vidor and Scott Uhlinger and wife Erin of Ohio; a brother, Lindy Hudnell; and eight grandchildren.
