Alcohol, drug charges

Joshua F. Brown, 23, 1208 Second, Louise, was booked into Wharton County Jail at 3:21 p.m. Wednesday for possession of marijuana. He was released at 3:44 p.m. Thursday on $20,000 bond.

Callis Whalon, 27, 7502 Colorado, Hungerford, was booked on Tuesday for possession of a prohibited substance in a correctional facility and warrants for criminal mischief, unlawful restraint and aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. He was held on $47,500 as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Josh Timmons, 19, 1609 Harris, Wharton, was booked at 10 p.m. Monday for possession of marijuana. He was released at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday on $2,500 bond.

Burglary, theft charges

LaKisha Bowsier, 24, 504 W. Burleson, Wharton, was booked at 5:15 p.m. Thursday on a theft by check warrant. She was released at 9:54 a.m. Friday on $500 bond.

Paula Rangel, 36, 10822 FM 1301 No. 3, Boling, was booked at 10:45 a.m. Thursday for unlawful use of a motor vehicle. She was released at 3:42 p.m. Thursday on $8,000 bond.

Jose Camacho, 52, 2001 Ave. F, El Campo, was booked on Tuesday for three counts of theft. He was released a 3 p.m. Thursday.

Assault charges

Jerry White, 41, 1524 Connie, Wharton, was booked at 1:30 a.m. Friday on a assault warrant. He was held as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Bill Baker, 33, 803 Depot, El Campo, was booked Wednesday on a warrant for assault and a warrant for theft. He was released on Thursday on $10,000 bond.

Other charges

Esteban Trevino, 43, 611 Monroe, Rio Grande City, was booked on Friday for two counts of bond forfeiture. He was held as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Linda Scales, 24, 1524 Connie, Wharton, was booked at 11:15 p.m. Thursday for bond forfeiture. She was held on $25,000 bond as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Juan Lopez, 25, 1121 Harrison, Sealy, was booked on Thursday for forgery and bigamy. He was held on $10,000 bond as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Cedric Moore, 32, 4403 Arreca, Bay City, was booked Thursday for failure to register as a sexual offender and two counts of probation violation. He was held as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Demetria D. Wooten, 30, 5433 Westbrook, Houston, was booked at 10:25 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for engaging in organized criminal activity. She was held on $20,000 bond as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Belinda Shah, 49, 615 E. Elm, Wharton, was booked at 9:15 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for resisting transport. She was held as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Wesley Henry Simmons Jr., 63, 2404 N. Fulton, Wharton, was booked on Wednesday for bond forfeiture and public intoxication. He was held on $3,000 bond as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Anthony A. Rosiles, 18, 111 W. Alfred, El Campo, was booked on Tuesday for a motion to increase bond. He was held on $10,000 bond as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Lawrence Cozine, 29, of El Campo, was booked on Tuesday for failure to register as a sex offender. He was held on $10,000 bond as of 11 a.m. Friday.

George Castillo, 41, 5601 Ave. C, El Campo, was booked on Tuesday on a warrant for indecency with a child. He was released at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday on $20,000 bond.

Malcolm Smith, 42, Route 1 Box 255D, Wharton, was booked on Tuesday for nine counts of bond forfeiture. He was held on $90,000 bond as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Kevin Cordell, 30, 307 Fern, Wharton, was booked on Tuesday for bond forfeiture. He was released at 9:31 a.m. Tuesday on $20,000 bond.

Raymond Ramirez, 33, 1218 Wisteria, Wharton, was booked on Tuesday for probation violation and capias pro fines. He was held as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Marlon McCullough, 28, 12281 Ora Lee, East Bernard, was booked Tuesday for three counts of capias pro fines. He was held as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Marum Ray Jones, 49, 108 Debra Drive No. 40, Angleton, was booked at 10 p.m. Monday for capias pro fines. He was released at 8 a.m. Friday after serving his time.

Sybnelee H. Mayfield, 38, 501 E. Caney, Wharton, was booked at 7:25 a.m. Friday for forgery and two counts of bond forfeiture. She was released at 2:24 p.m. Saturday on $15,000 bond.

Matreece T. Johnson, 29, 1223 Harris, Wharton, was booked Friday on a motion to increase bond. He was released at 10 a.m. Friday on $8,000 bond.

Michael Andre Ford, 49, 120 Correll, Wharton, was booked Thursday for two counts of capias pro fines. He was released at 7:45 a.m. Friday after serving his time.

Jose Luis Rivera, 26, 4620 North St. No. 2, McAllen, was booked at 5:14 p.m. Thursday for bond forfeiture and parole violation. He was held as of 11 a.m. Monday.

Matagorda County holds

Lynn Grovey, 18, P.O. Box 210, Sweeny, was booked at 2:30 a.m. Thursday for aggravated robbery. He was held as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Wilson Gee, 46, 3111 Ave. C, Bay City, was booked at 2:30 a.m. Thursday for failure to appear and evading arrest. He was held as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Julio C. May, 28, 1010 Morton, Palacios, was booked at 2:30 a.m. Thursday for unlawful use of a motor vehicle and immigration hold. He was held as of 11 a.m. Friday.

Alice Wilcox, 52, 2020 Travis, Van Vleck, was booked at 4:45 p.m. Sunday for parole violation. She was held as of 11 a.m. Monday.

Lynn Patrice Grovey, 18, 4709 Harmon No. 320, Austin, was booked at 4:45 p.m. Sunday for aggravated robbery. She was held as of 11 a.m. Monday.

Laurie Elizabeth Bass, 30, 2018 Golden Ave., Bay City, was booked at 4:40 p.m. Sunday for possession of a controlled substance. She was released to Matagorda County officials at 8:35 p.m. Sunday.

Jail population as of 11 a.m. Friday was 121 prisoners.
