Edward Williams

Funeral services for Edward Simon "Rick" Williams Jr., 64, of Sugar Land, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, Little Zion Baptist Church in Kendleton with Rev. Leo Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery in Kendleton.

Mr. Williams died Nov. 11, 2007 at Oak Bend Medical Center in Richmond. He was born Oct. 4, 1943 in Kendleton to Edward S. and Rocell Haynes Williams Sr.

He worked as a service technician for Sears.

Survivors include wife, Evelyn Williams of Sugar Land; sons, Edwin Williams of Richmond and Jason Hicks of Tomball; daughters, Wanda Williams of Missouri City, Sonya Silvestain of Richmond, Jalayne Hicks of Houston and Pashawna Williams of Columbus; brothers, Melvin Williams of Kendleton, Larry Williams of Needville, Elestered McCullough of Houston and Earnest Junious of Houston; sisters, Dwella Knight and Agnes Dial, both of Houston, and Sharon Newhouse of Dallas; and eight grandchildren.
