Pageant seeks participants

For those single, and between the ages of 13 and 18, applications are now being accepted for the title of 2008 "Miss Teen Wharton."

Miss Teen Wharton will represent her area at the Miss Teen Texas Pageant to be held at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in San Antonio on April 11 to 13.

The young woman selected as Miss Teen Wharton will become an ambassador from the Wharton area and receive an official title and sash.

The young lady crowned Miss Teen Texas will receive a scholarship and prize package valued at over $15,000 and the opportunity to represent Texas at the 2007 Miss Teen International Pageant.

Teen contestants will compete in Personal Interview, Fitness Wear, Fun Fashion Wear and Evening Gown.
