Public records of persons booked into the Wharton County Jail

Alcohol, drug charges

Alfred Rodriguez, 25, 400 Louise, East Bernard, was booked into Wharton County Jail on Thursday for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was held on $100,000 bond as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Rufino Rivera III, 20, 313 Siesta, East Bernard, was booked Thursday for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was held on $50,000 bond as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Robbery charges

Michael Arismendez, 32, 1509 South Prosperity, El Campo, was booked at 12:35 p.m. Monday for aggravated robbery. He was held without bond as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Assault charges

Jimmy Gaona, 28, 3615 CR 448, Wharton, was booked at 8 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was held on $100,000 bond as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Bruno Rodriguez, 28, 146 Valley View, Nacogdoches, was booked at 7 a.m. Thursday for an aggravated sexual assault warrant, a securing execution of a document by deception warrant, failure to identify, running a red light and no driver's license. He was held as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Other charges

Tristen Johnson, 24, 2500 Junior College Blvd., Wharton, was booked on Thursday for failure to appear and expired registration. He was held on $1,000 bond as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Richard Hernandez, 29, 304 Lundy, El Campo, was booked on Thursday for five counts of capias pro fines. He was held as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Jacqueline Krobot, 25, 512 Clara, El Campo, was booked at 9 a.m. Wednesday for capias pro fines. She was released at 1 p.m. Wednesday after paying $301 in fines.

Kaderick Petitt, 31, 216 Oak, Wharton, was booked at 8:59 a.m. Wednesday for motion of surety. He was held on $15,000 bond as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Daniel Cazares, 21, 4707 White Oak, East Bernard, was booked at 11:21 p.m. Tuesday for two counts of capias pro fines and public intoxication. He was held as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Matagorda County holds

Wilson Gee, 46, 311 Ave. C, Bay City, was booked at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday for evading arrest and failure to appear. He was held as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Paul Romo, 18, 2212 9th St., Bay City, was booked at 8:38 p.m. Tuesday for burglary of a building, theft and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was held as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Joshua Jones, 20, 2215 Rugely, Bay City, was booked at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday for burglary of a building, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts of probation violation. He was held as of 12 p.m. Thursday.

Jail population as of 12 p.m. Thursday was 128 prisoners.

"In Custody" is compiled from the public records of the Wharton County Sheriff's Department. Persons arrested have been charged with crimes but may not be guilty. Under law, they are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
