Veterans Day events

With Veterans Day falling on Sunday, many schools and organizations have opted to host programs either this past week or Monday.

Veterans Day programs scheduled on Monday include:

The BHS Student Council invites all area veterans to its Veterans Day Program on Monday at 8:30 a.m. in the new gym at Boling High School.

Iago Junior High School Student Council will also host Veterans Day Assembly on Monday in the gym starting at 9:30 a.m.

Monday Wharton Junior High School will have an assembly at 10:40 a.m. The program will include performances by the WJH band, choir, student council and a guest speaker.

Wharton High School will also have a Veteran's Day assembly Monday starting at 12:20 p.m.

The schools invite veterans of foreign wars to be special guests at all programs.

Parents and the public are also invited to attend.
