Palacios crushes Bulldogs 56-0 PALACIOS - Palacios relied on a strong running game lead by Henry Solis to take a 56-0 victory over Boling Friday night here at Shark Stadium. Solis ran for 215 yards on 23 carries and scored five touchdowns. The Sharks took over at their own 26 yardline on the first drive of the game and Solis capped off a 13 play drive with a 1-yard run for a touchdown. Lee Cink booted the extra point making the score 7-0 with 5:56 left in the quarter. After the Bulldogs were forced to punt on their next possession, the Sharks took over at their own 33. Solis raced 67 yards on the next play for the touchdown. Cink added the extra point making the score 14-0 with 4:05 left in the first quarter. On the Bulldogs next drive, they faked a punt and appeared to have a first down, but the ball was brought back on a block in the back penalty and they were forced to punt. The Sharks took over at their own 35 and on the next play Solis raced 65 yards for the touchdown. Cink's extra point made the score 21-0 with 44 seconds left in the quarter. After the Bulldogs were forced to punt on their next drive, the Sharks took over at their own 30 and added to their lead. Solis scored his fourth touchdown on a three yard run on the Sharks' next drive. Cink added the extra point making the score 28-0 with 4:50 left in the half.After a Bulldog fumble, the Sharks took over at the Bulldog 49 yardline and added to their lead. On the next play, Tony Nguyen picked up 19 yards to the Bulldog 30 yardline. Then on second and goal from the 15, Nguyen connected with Lucas Garcia for a touchdown. Cink added the extra point making the score 35-0 with 19 seconds left in the half. Solis added his fifth touchdown with 5:03 left in the third on a 1-yard run. Cink added the extra point making the score 42-0. Aaron Buckley then added an 11- yard run with 41 seconds left in the third quarter. Cink's kick made the score 49-0. On Boling's next possession, Cody Smith returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown. Cink's kick made the score 56-0 with 11:05 left in the game. Boling travels to play Danbury next Friday. The Panthers beat Hull-Daisetta 28-14. |
