Tommie Lowe

Following cremation, memorial services for Tommie Dwight Lowe, 57, of Matagorda and formerly of Wharton, were held Friday at Wharton Funeral Home with Paul Jones officiating.

Mr. Lowe died Sept. 25, 2007 in a Bay City hospital following a sudden illness. He was born Jan. 15, 1950 in Wharton, the son of the late Tommie Gaines Lowe and Burnis Lorene Cook Lowe.

He was a resident of Matagorda for the past four years and was a former longtime resident of Wharton. Mr. Lowe was a retired ranch manager. He was Christian by Faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Shaina Lowe, and a son, Tate Lowe, both of Wharton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Fred Pyka and Rosalie and Gary Pekar, all of Wharton, Barbara and Jimmie Lee Gustafson of Boling and Shirley and Anton Zahradnik of Sugar Land; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests memorials to a church or charity of personal choice.
