DAR celebrates Constitution week

The Comfort Wood Chapter, DAR, began its week-long celebration of The Constitution by traveling to Bay City to a Constitution Luncheon on Saturday, Sept 15.

The luncheon was hosted by Mary Rolph Marsh Chapter and was held at the Bay City Country Club.

Creed. The guest speaker was Steven

E. Reis, district Attorney of Matagorda County.

He presented insights into the difference in some word meanings from 220 years ago and how we use the same word today.

It was both interesting and entertaining.

Each attendee received a Bay City pin, a Constitution Week magnet and a copy of the Preamble.
