Big State Music Festival only two weeks away
      The Big State Music Festival that is put on by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation is scheduled for Oct. 13-14 at the Texas World Speedway in Bryan-College Station. But even though it is still over two weeks away, tickets are going fast.

St. Philip Church Picnic set Sunday in El Campo
      The St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church Picnic will be held next Sunday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in El Campo. The entire community is encouraged to come and dance to the music of the Dujka Brothers, playing from 10 a.m.- noon and 2-4 p.m.
