Marjorie Matthys

Funeral services for Marjorie Matthys, 86, of Lampasas, were held Sept. 18 at Faith Lutheran Church in Lampasas with Pastor Oschner officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Matthys died Sept. 15, 2007 after an extended illness. She was born Oct. 16, 1920 to Walter and Anna Teske Garrett.

She was a homemaker. Mrs. Matthys is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lee Nail; sisters, Leona, Bertha and Dorothy Garrett and Gladys Matthys.

Survivors include husband, Lothar Matthys of Lampasas; sisters, Irene Garrett and Charleen Dixon and husband Thurman of Wharton; and several nieces and a nephew.
