Ladybug theme used for Jillian's first party

Jillian Laitkep, daughter of Stephen and Katie Laitkep, celebrated her first birthday with a grilled hamburger cookout held Sept. 15 at her parents' home.

Hosting the event were her parents and older brother Justin Laitkep.

The party featured a ladybug theme which was carried out with ladybug decorations, a ladybug chocolate cake and each guest received a handmade ladybug bracelet.

Refreshments included chocolate cake, hamburgers, dips, cookies and fruit salad.

Special guests were her grandparents, Wayne and Jeanette Krenek, Anthony and Jeanette Laitkep; great-grandmother, Myrtle Krenek; aunts, uncles and family friends.

Jillian received a Radio Flyer ride-on toy from her parents and brother, wooden toy box from Grandma and Grandpa Laitkep and numerous other gifts.

Jillian wore a ladybug dress made by her Grandma Jeanette Krenek.
