Holy Cross bazaar in East Bernard set Oct. 14 Riverside Hall in East Bernard will be the site of the 106th Annual Holy Cross Bazaar on Oct. 14. Dinner will be served starting at 11 a.m. The menu will include BBQ beef, chicken and sausage with "Homemade Dressing" and all the trimmings. Hamburgers will be served starting at 3 p.m. Czech pastries, refreshments and country store items will be for sale during the day. The auction cranks up at 12:30 p.m. under the outdoor pavillion. All kinds of games and entertainment for young and old will be available throughout the day. Additional attractions include a petting zoo, Velcro wall and a rock climbing wall. Pony rides will also be available. Making his sixth appearance will be "Patrick", the celebrity camel, who has appeared on the Debra Duncan and Oprah Winfrey shows. Not only can he be touched and petted, but he will also be available for rides. There will be live music and entertainment starting at noon with the Texas Legacy Check Band. The Dujka Brothers, Mark and John, play their style of polkas and waltzes from 3:30- 6 p.m. No Limit will provide country and vintage rock-and-roll music for three hours. Raffle tickets may be purchased throughout the day, and drawings will begin at 8 p.m. for 103 raffle prizes, including an 8-day European tour for 2 to Austria and Rome. |
