Jr. High Brahmas win Sealy cross country championship

SEALY - East Bernard's junior high boys cross country team claimed the championship trophy in Saturday morning's Sealy Invitational.

The Brahmas finished with only 18 points and beat out second place Sweeny who finished with 51 points.

Brazos was third with 95 points and Bellville was fourth with 97 points.

Brahma Thomas Garcia won the two-mile race with a 11:51 and teammate Andrew Boettcher was second with 12:18.

Victor Pettit finished third in 12:30, Ty Slanina finished fourth in 13:03, and Jesse Lopez finished eighth in 13:19.

Mario Bellman finished 12th with a 14 minute time. Aaron Kieler was 13th with a time of 14:08, Jordna Darr was 14th with a 14:14, Jack Delmar was 15th with a 14:19 and Cody Ognoskie was 17th with a 14:27.
