Brahma JV dealt 14-6 loss SHINER - East Bernard's junior varsity football team came out on the short end of a 14- 0 score to Shiner Thursday afternoon at Comanche Stadium. After a scoreless first quarter, Shiner picked up a 5-yard touchdown and extra point kick in the second to go up 7-0. The Comanches got a 3-yard touchdown run and extra point kick early in the fourth quarter to take a 14-0 lead. Zach Castillo scored the Brahmas lone touchdown later in the quarter. The missed conversion left the Comanches with a 14-6 lead. Castillo finished the night with 45 yards on nine carries. Jermayne Perkins picked up 65 yards on four carries. Rivera added 24 yards and he also caught one passed for 38. East Bernard's defense caused six fumbles and recovered five. Miles Lee caused two. Jacob Floyd recovered a fumble and was a defensive standout. East Bernard, now 2-1 on the season, plays at Needville next Thursday. |
