7th grade Lady Tiger teams beat Columbus

Wharton's two 7th grade volleyball teams picked up district wins over Columbus Monday afternoon at the Wharton Junior High Gymnasium.

The Blue Team won 25-10, 25-18 to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Katie Reyna, CheKal Farr, Kaitlyn Norrell, Lacey Garcia, Courtney Barker, Hannah Harper and Myavia Armstrong all had serves which resulted in points.

The Red Team won 25-12, 25-13 for its first victory against no losses.

Ashleigh Burns, Molly Hubbell, Kristen Cuellers, Salina Martinez, Erin Maldonado, Daynisha Smith and Darian Massey all had serves which resulted in points.

The 8th grade Blue team lost 25- 13, 25-14 and the Red Team lost 25- 11, 25-3.

Selena Schmidt and Marissa had service points for the Red Team/

Erica Reyes, Natalie Allen, Cameron Melton and Mellissa Janik had service points for the Blue Team.
