Library holds apron program

Marilyn Sebesta and Jerry Smaistrla look at the vintage apron display in preparation for the Sept. 21 special program on aprons at 10 a.m. at the Wharton County Library.
Inspired by the book, The Apron Book - Making, wearing, and Sharing a Bit of Cloth and Comfort, by Ellyn Anne Geisel, the Wharton County Library has put together a September Display of Aprons.

At 10 a.m. on Friday there will be an adult program on aprons with Marilyn Sebesta leading the program entitled Tie One On.

Admission to the program is to wear a favorite apron or bring canned goods for SHARE.

The program will begin with an Apron Parade with Marilyn Sebesta as emcee.

If anyone would like to make an apron, bring 1 yard of 45- inch fabric to the program.

There will be patterns and a few sewing machines available.

Join the morning of fun with cookies and coffee.
